Cuttack, Feb. 9 -- With the help of stellar batting performance of skipper Rohit Sharma, India defeated England by four wickets during the second One-Day International (ODI) at the Barabati Satdium, Cuttack today.
Chasing the target of 305 runs set by England, India scored 308 in 44.3 overs while losing six wickets.Rohit Sharma scored majestic 119 of 90 balls.
After winning the toss, England opted to bat first and got off to a steady start, courtesy of Ben Duckett and Phil Salt. The duo stitched an 81-run opening stand before India's debutant Varun Chakaravarthy struck to remove Salt. Duckett looked in good rhythm, reaching his fifty, but failed to carry on, departing for 69.
