Bhubaneswar, April 4 -- Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted 270 grams of gold and 6 kilograms of silver from a jeweller in Odisha's Delang area, last night.

The victim, Prashant Mohapatra, resides in Delang and operates a jewellery store in the local market. As per his statement to the police, the incident occurred near the Delang police station. As many as five miscreants, armed with guns, intercepted Prashant while he was heading home after closing his shop.

They threatened him at gunpoint and fled with 270 grams of gold and 6 kilograms of silver.

Following Prashant's complaint, the Delang police initiated an investigation and launched a search operation to apprehend the criminals involved.
