New Delhi, Feb. 25 -- Pronouncing the quantum of punishment of former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar, who was convicted in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, the Delhi Court awarded him life imprisonment today.

The Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court convicted Kumar in a case related to the murder of a fathers-on duo in Saraswati Vihar area on November 1, 1984. Kumar was convicted on February 12, 2025 under sections related to rioting, unlawful assembly and murder etc.

Special judge Kaveri Baweja pronounced the conviction order.

This case is related to the killing of Jaswant Singh and his son Tarundeep Singh in the Saraswati Vihar area during the riots. Earlier on January 31, the Rouse Avenue Court reserved its verdict after hearing additional submission...
