Banki, April 24 -- A man was killed and two others sustained grievous injuries as two speeding cars had a head-on collision with each other near Kuspungi Chhak under Banki police limits in Cuttack district, today.

The deceased man was identified as Naria Sahoo and the two injured were identified as Sujit Das and his son from Athagarh town in the district.

According to a source, the road mishap occurred in the afternoon when Sujit Das and his son along with other members of the family were on their way back home in a red car from Cuttack to Athagarh. Similarly, Naria Sahoo was going in a white car to Banki from elsewhere in the district. The reason behind the accident has not been ascertained yet.
