Bhubaneswar, April 5 -- The Odisha government has taken a proactive step in view of the heat wave situation by implementing 'water bell' system in all schools across the state.

This initiative aims to ensure that students remain adequately hydrated during their class hours.

The School and Mass Education Department has instructed the Block Education Officers (BEOs) and District Education Officers (DEOs) to enforce this system.

It involves ringing the school bell three times a day at 8:30 AM, 10 AM, and 11 AM to remind students to drink water.

Teachers will supervise the students to ensure they drink water on time. Additionally, students have been advised to use umbrellas and caps.
