India, Aug. 8 -- VivoPower International PLC (VVPR) shares jumped 37.56 percent to $5.31 on Friday, up $1.45, after the company announced plans to acquire Ripple Labs shares as part of its XRP-focused digital asset treasury strategy.
The stock opened at $4.29, traded between $4.05 and $5.50, with a volume of 6.24 million shares, well above its average of 1.45 million on the Nasdaq. VivoPower's 52-week range is $0.62 to $8.88.
Following two months of due diligence, VivoPower has allocated $100 million to purchase privately held Ripple shares through agreements with existing shareholders, subject to final approval from Ripple's executive management.
