India, April 9 -- Venus Concept Inc. (VERO) skyrocketed 198.61 percent to $8.60, gaining $5.72 during Wednesday's trading, despite no apparent news or press release to explain the sharp move.
The stock opened at $10.17 and has fluctuated between $7.07 and $14.50 today on the Nasdaq. It previously closed at $2.88. Trading volume has exploded to over 40.7 million shares massively above the stock's average volume of just 170,000. Venus Concept is now trading significantly above its 52-week low of $2.16, though still well below its 52-week high of $17.49.
The dramatic surge appears to be driven by unusually high trading activity.
