India, April 3 -- The Thai stock market on Thursday ended the two-day winning streak in which it had advanced almost 15 points or 1.2 percent. The Stock Exchange of Thailand now sits just above the 1,160-point plateau and it's looking at another soft start again on Friday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is broadly negative after U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff announcement. The European and U.S. markets were sharply lower and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion.
