India, June 10 -- The Thai stock market on Tuesday ended the two-day slide in which it had slipped more than 5 points or 0.4 percent. The Stock Exchange of Thailand now rests just beneath the 1,140-point plateau and it may tick higher again on Wednesday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is hopeful on continuing trade talks between the United States and China. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.

The SET finished slightly higher on Tuesday following gains from the financial, industrial, property and service sectors.

For the day, the index rose 3.92 points or 0.35 percent to finish at 1,139.16 after trading between 1,134.82 and 1,144.40. Volume was 8.266...
