India, Aug. 22 -- The unemployment rate in Taiwan dropped slightly in July, the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics reported Friday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate came in at 3.33 percent in July versus 3.34 percent in June. In the same period last year, the rate was 3.37 percent.
Further, this was the lowest unemployment rate since November 2000, when it was 3.23 percent.
There were 400,000 unemployed people in July compared to 402,000 in the preceding month.
On an unadjusted basis, the jobless rate also rose to 3.40 percent in July from 3.36 percent in the previous month.
