India, April 25 -- Indian shares fell notably on Friday, giving up early gains as uncertainty over geopolitical tensions prompted investors to book some profits and stay on cash.

Days after militants killed 26 civilians in Indian-administered Kashmir, the Indian and Pakistan armies exchanged fire across the Line of Control (LoC).
