India, March 20 -- Indian shares were largely unchanged on Wednesday as investors digested conflicting reports on U.S.-China trade talks and looked ahead to the Fed's decision on interest rates.

The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 47 points at 38,410 after opening lower earlier in the session. The broader Nifty index was largely unchanged at 11,535.

SBI shed 0.7 percent after reports that Etihad Airways has offered to sell its entire 24 percent stake in Jet Airways to the state-run lender. Jet Airways shares slumped 5 percent.

DLF rallied 2.3 percent after the GST Council finalized the modalities for transition to the new rates on residential flats.
