Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- The ruins of the Kadadora Vihara, which were submerged during the construction of the reservoir, are becoming visible again due to a rapid decline in the water levels of the Kotmale Gamini Dissanayake Reservoir.

Large crowds are gathering daily near the site to witness the exposed remains of the temple, including its Buddha statue.

Recent footage captures the accumulation of silt and sand across the reservoir bed as the receding waterline reveals the historical site.
