India, Feb. 28 -- The US Food and Drug Administration has announced that Natural Dior LLC is recalling Vitafer-L Gold Liquid, a dietary supplement with iron and vitamins, to the consumer level due to undeclared tadalafil.

Tadalafil is an ingredient in FDA-approved products for the treatment of male erectile dysfunction in the family of drugs known as phosphodiesterase or PDE-5 inhibitors.

Since tadalafil is not allowed in dietary supplements, Vitafer-L Gold Liquid is considered an unapproved drug with unknown safety and effectiveness, and is being recalled.

The recalled product is packaged in 16.9 fl oz or 500 mL bottles inside a folding cardboard box.
