India, June 27 -- Malaysia's producer prices declined further in May, figures from the Department of Statistics showed on Thursday.
The producer price index declined 1.5 percent year-on-year in May, following a 1.4 percent fall in April.
Among sectors, prices for agriculture, forestry and fishing dropped by 12.8 percent annually in May and water supply decreased by 2.3 percent. Prices of manufacturing and mining fell by 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively.
While, electricity and gas supply prices increased by 1.2 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices went edged up 0.2 percent in May, after a 0.6 percent in the previous month.
