India, June 16 -- Puerto Rico-based King Tallow LLC is recalling approximately 353 pounds of Grass fed Beef Tallow Artisan cooking oil as it was processed, packaged, and labeled without undergoing federal inspection, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The company does not hold a federal inspection grant and is not authorized to produce products intended for human consumption.
The recall was initiated following the FSIS' identification of the issue after receiving an anonymous consumer complaint about the product being sold without the federal inspection mark at a retail store in Carolina, Puerto Rico.
