India, May 12 -- HighPeak Energy, Inc. (HPK) revealed a profit for its first quarter that increased from last year and beat the Street estimates.
The company's earnings came in at $36.33 million, or $0.26 per share. This compares with $6.44 million, or $0.05 per share, last year.
Excluding items, HighPeak Energy, Inc. reported adjusted earnings of $42.70 million or $0.31 per share for the period.
Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.25 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
