India, Aug. 14 -- Gold prices were little changed on Thursday and the U.S. dollar languished at multi-week lows versus major peers as investors await updates from U.S. Russia ceasefire discussions.
Spot gold was marginally lower at $3,355.44 per ounce in European trade, while U.S. gold futures were down 0.1 percent at $3,403.65.
Traders eagerly await a high-profile meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin scheduled for Friday on Ukraine.
After consulting with European leaders, Trump has warned of severe consequences if Putin didn't agree to a ceasefire agreement after the meeting.
