India, May 28 -- Equitable Group Inc. (EQB_PR_A.TO) released earnings for second quarter that decreased from the same period last year

The company's bottom line totaled C$85.88 million, or C$2.21 per share. This compares with C$103.37 million, or C$2.67 per share, last year.

Excluding items, Equitable Group Inc. reported adjusted earnings of C$2.31 per share for the period.
