India, May 15 -- Deere & Company (DE) shares climbed 4.04 percent to $517.59 on Thursday after the company reported second-quarter earnings. While net sales and revenues dropped 16 percent year over year to $12.76 billion, and net income fell 24 percent to $1.8 billion, investors appeared to react positively to the company's overall financial resilience amid industry headwinds.

The stock reached an intraday high of $531.54, setting a new 52-week peak, and traded between $508.20 and $531.54 on volume of 2.2 million shares, above the daily average of 1.4 million on the New York Stock Exchange. Deere now sits within a 52-week range of $340.20 to $531.54.
