India, May 20 -- D-Wave Quantum Inc. (QBTS) surged 31.90 percent to $17.35 on Tuesday after announcing the general availability of its Advantage2 quantum computing system.

The stock opened at $15.34 and hit a high of $17.30 during intraday trading. Volume skyrocketed to 185.7 million shares, nearly triple its average of 64 million. QBTS is now trading at the top end of its 52-week range of $0.75 to $17.30.

The new system, featuring the company's most advanced processor yet is designed for commercial applications in optimization, materials simulation, and AI, addressing problems beyond the capabilities of classical computing.
