India, April 24 -- Shares of BriaCell Therapeutics Corp. (BCTX) surged over 50% on Thursday morning after the company reported complete lung metastasis resolution in a patient under breast cancer study.
BCTX is currently trading at $8.25, up $2.82 or 51.93%, on a huge volume of 24 million shares, above average volume of 0.7 million, on the Nasdaq. The stock opened its trading at $9.36 after closing Wednesday at $5.43. The stock has traded between $0.35 and $9.81 in the past 52-week period.
The company confirmed complete resolution of lung metastasis at 4 month follow-up in hormone receptor positive breast cancer patient. The treatment was well-tolerated and patient remains on study with stable disease elsewhere.
