India, Feb. 4 -- Brazil's producer prices increased for the eleventh straight month in December, figures from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, or IBGE, showed on Tuesday.
The producer price index rose 1.48 percent month-over-month in December, following a 1.25 percent increase in the previous month. Further, this was the steepest growth in five months.
Among major economic categories, prices in the capital goods segment increased by 1.40 percent, and those in the consumer goods sector grew by 1.11 percent.
On a yearly basis, producer prices climbed at an accelerated pace of 9.42 percent versus a 7.62 percent rise in November.
