India, June 11 -- Washington-based Bornstein Seafoods Inc. is recalling 44,550 Lbs. of Cooked & Peeled Ready-To-Eat Coldwater Shrimp Meat citing potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall involves Fzn Shrimp Meat under Bornstein Seafoods branded packaging in 1 lb. or 5 lb. plastic bag, with various UPC code and lot numbers. The market name is Shrimp.
The impacted product was distributed directly to distributors and retailers in California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia of Canada. The recalled products may have been further distributed and sold at retailers across the United States.
