India, Aug. 8 -- Boeing Co. (BA) has secured approval from the UK's Competition and Markets Authority for its proposed $4.7 billion acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc. (SPR), advancing one of the most significant aerospace transactions in recent years. The CMA confirmed its decision on Friday, concluding a Phase 1 review launched on June 30. The regulator determined the merger would not raise substantial competition concerns within the UK aerospace market, allowing the deal to progress without a deeper probe.
