India, Feb. 5 -- The Thai stock market has finished lower in six straight sessions, sinking more than 60 points or 4.4 percent along the way. The Stock Exchange of Thailand now sits just above the 1,285-point plateau and it's overdue for support on Thursday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is upbeat following a drop in U.S. treasury yields. The European markets were mixed and the U.S bourses were slightly higher and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.

The SET finished sharply lower on Wednesday following losses from the consumer, finance, property, resource, service and technology sectors.

For the day, the index stumbled 14.28 points or 1.10 percent to finish at 1,286.74 after trading between 1,282.04 and 1,305.17...
