India, April 25 -- Aon plc (AON) fell 8.83 percent to $333.07, down $32.22 during Friday's trading, after reporting first quarter results that showed a year-over-year decline in net income. While total revenue increased to $4.73 billion from $4.07 billion, net income dropped to $982 million from $1.09 billion in the prior-year quarter.

The stock opened at $341.50 and moved between $323.73 and $346.27 during the session on the New York Stock Exchange. Trading volume surged to 3.75 million shares, well above the average of 1.31 million.

Aon currently trades within a 52-week range of $268.06 to $412.97.
