India, Sept. 3 -- Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) surged 8.78 percent to $230.61 on Wednesday, rising $18.62 after being named as a sponsor for Questex's Digital Signage Experience 2025, a leading industry event set for October in San Diego.
The stock opened at $226.43 and traded between $225.12 and $231.80, compared with a previous close of $211.99 on the Nasdaq. Trading volume reached 47.30 million shares, nearly double the average of 24.47 million.
Alphabet shares now trade within a 52-week range of $142.66 to $231.80, touching a new high during the session.
