Nepal, March 31 -- A 72-year-old woman, identified as Paankala Thapa, died after being hit by a truck in Sarke Gad, Humla. The truck, with registration number (Bhe 1 Kha 3764), was traveling towards Simikot when it hit Thapa. She was a resident of Dulli village, Sarke Gad.

The local police station confirmed the incident and stated that Thapa succumbed to her injuries. In response to the incident, angry relatives and locals blocked the Sarke Gad section of the Karnali Corridor, halting all traffic on that stretch.
Authorities are conducting a detailed investigation into the incident, and efforts are underway to resolve the situation and restore normalcy.
