Nepal, May 21 -- A woman died aboard a flight on Tuesday while being airlifted to Kathmandu for medical treatment from Simara Airport.

The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Raj Kumari Chaudhary of Phatuwa, Bijaypur Municipality-11 in Rautahat. According to her husband, Jung Bahadur Chaudhary, she was being flown to the capital for further medical care when she lost consciousness mid-flight.

Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohora of the Kathmandu District Police Office said Chaudhary was rushed to KMC Hospital upon landing, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
