KATHMANDU, Feb. 21 -- The nation is currently witnessing a westerly low-pressure system that has caused partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions while keeping the weather clear in most other areas, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).

This afternoon, the hilly regions will be partly to generally cloudy, whereas the rest of the nation will witness fair conditions. Light rain can occur in one or two places in the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki, and Koshi provinces. Light snowfall can occur in some places in the high hills and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and one or two places in other provinces' higher places.
