KATHMANDU, Aug. 22 -- The water level in the Bishnumati River in Kathmandu has reached near the alert mark. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), the water level at the Gongabu measurement station was reported to be around the alert level at 3:50 PM on Friday and is rising.
The DHM has urged the public to exercise caution while traveling along riverbanks and to remain alert in riverside settlements.
Currently, rainfall is occurring in several districts including Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi, Jumla and Sindhupalchok.
