Nepal, Sept. 4 -- Citing rising noise pollution in the Kathmandu Valley, the Valley Police Office has launched a campaign urging residents to reduce unnecessary noise.

As part of the initiative, police have requested the public to avoid loud conversations between 5 am and 7 am, refrain from excessive use of vehicle horns, and prevent disturbances such as loud whistling at night.

According to police, noise pollution caused by human activities poses serious risks to health, particularly affecting pregnant women, heart patients, the elderly, and children. It also disrupts educational, mental, and physical well-being.
