Nepal, June 5 -- The United States is set to terminate the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) granted to Nepali nationals after 10 years.

TPS was offered to Nepalese citizens as a relief measure following the 2015 earthquake. However, this protection will be officially revoked starting August 5.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a notice on Thursday stating that TPS for Nepal will be fully terminated two months from now.

The notice also urges those unable to obtain another legal status by August 5 to prepare to leave the country.
