Nepal, Sept. 18 -- US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R Thompson met with Prime Minister (PM) Sushila Karki and extended congratulations to her.

Ambassador Thompson visited the PM's Office at Singha Durbar on Thursday to meet with her. During the courtesy meeting, Ambassador Thompson congratulated Karki on becoming Nepal's new head of the executive.

PM Karki assumed office following the resignation of then-Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, in the wake of the recent Gen Z protests.
