KATHMANDU, Feb. 20 -- Bidur Sapkota, a politburo member of CPN (Unified Socialist) and Bagmati Province co-incharge, has passed away while undergoing treatment on Thursday.
Sapkota, who was admitted to Helping Hands Community Hospital after suddenly experiencing health issues, was declared dead by doctors at 3:50 am.
Sapkota played a crucial role in the first people's movement of 1990 through the struggle against the then Panchayat and student politics. He was the secretary of the CPN-UML in Kavrepalanchok for a long time.
