Nepal, Sept. 25 -- UNICEF and WHO, with support from Gavi the Vaccine Alliance, delivered 1,018,100 doses of Oral Cholera Vaccine (OCV) today to Nepal to support the country's urgent response to the recent cholera outbreak in Parsa and Bara districts.

These vaccines, supplied by the International Coordinating Group (ICG) global cholera vaccine stockpile, will be used to launch an emergency vaccination campaign targeting all persons aged one year and above in all municipalities of Parsa district and six adjoining municipalities in Bara district - the areas hardest hit by the outbreak.
