Nepal, Sept. 10 -- United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has stated that he is closely following the situation in Nepal and is deeply saddened by the loss of life during the recent protests in Nepal.

In a statement shared via social site X on Wednesday, Guterres urged all parties to act with restraint to prevent further escalation of violence. "I am deeply saddened by the loss of life. I urge for a thorough investigation and restraint to avoid further escalation of violence, and dialogue towards forging a constructive path forward," he said.
