KATHMANDU, Aug. 27 -- CPN-UML central member Ain Mahar, who was arrested in a defamation case on Wednesday, has been released on a general date after giving his statement. The District Attorney's Office in Kathmandu completed taking his statement and released him in the evening.
Ram Hari Sharma, Deputy Attorney General and the office chief, confirmed Mahar's release, stating that the remaining investigation will be conducted by the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police before any prosecution.
