Kathmandu, Oct. 19 -- CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused the government of arming criminals under the pretext of holding elections.

Speaking at a programme at the party's central office in Chyasal on Saturday, Oli claimed that 1,200 police firearms and around 100,000 bullets looted during the Gen Z protests have ended up in the hands of criminals. He described the country's security situation as "extremely dire" and warned that the government was steering the nation toward chaos.
