KATHMANDU, Feb. 11 -- Nepal has ranked 107th in the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2024, with a score of 34 out of 100.

Transparency International Nepal (TIN) made public the new report at a press conference organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday. According to the report, Nepal's score last year was 35. The results point out the need to take effective action against corruption.

In the CPI conducted by Transparency International, Bhutan ranks 72; India ranks 38; Maldives ranks 38; Sri Lanka ranks 32; Pakistan ranks 27; Bangladesh ranks 23; and Afghanistan ranks 17. China has scored 43 points. The index includes 180 countries in total.
