Kathmandu, Oct. 27 -- Tension flared at KIST Medical Hospital in Imadol, Lalitpur, on Sunday after police used tear gas and baton charge to disperse protesters demanding justice over the death of a pregnant woman during treatment.

The deceased, identified as Mina Rai, died on October 24 under what her family has described as "mysterious circumstances." Relatives and supporters have accused the hospital of medical negligence, claiming her death resulted from improper treatment.
