Nepal, Feb. 3 -- Ten people were injured, including the driver, after an auto-rickshaw met with an accident in Salyan district on Monday afternoon.

According to the District Police Office, Salyan, the accident occurred at around 2 pm near the Irrigation Office in Khalanga along the Khalanga-Shrinagar road section in Sharada Municipality-2. The auto-rickshaw (Ra 1 Ha 2195), which was heading towards Khalanga from Shrinagar, lost control and plunged approximately 500 metres down the roadside.

Of the injured, two are in serious condition, three sustained moderate injuries, and five suffered minor injuries, police said.

All the injured have been taken to the District Hospital, Salyan, for treatment.
