KATHMANDU, Aug. 19 -- August 19 is celebrated as World Photography Day globally. The day is dedicated to the art, craft, science and history of photography. In the modern world, the day aims to inspire photographers across the planet to share a single photo with a simple purpose of sharing their world with the world.

The history of Nepali photography is not so long, that means 100 years. Coinciding with the World Photography Day, photo editor of Nepal Republic Media Bijaya Rai is now talking with photo editor of Annapurna Post Daily Bikash Karki and photojournalist of Agence -France- Presse Prakash Mathema about challenges and opportunities of photojournalism in Nepal.
