Nepal, Sept. 23 -- Authorities have tightened security in Chitwan National Park to prevent possible poaching and smuggling during the festive season.

According to park officials, 32 CCTV cameras inside the park have been repaired and brought into operation. Patrols will be carried out on elephants, on foot and over short and long distances. All 57 security posts have been activated and locals have been urged to remain alert.
