Nepal, May 19 -- The Supreme Court (SC) has asked the government to submit documents related to the writ petition challenging Sharad Ojha's appointment as the chairperson of the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA).

A joint bench of Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut and Justice Nityananda Pandey ordered the government on Monday to submit documents outlining the grounds for appointing Sharad Ojha.

"The SC will study additional documents related to Ojha's appointment. It has directed the government to produce the documents submitted during the appointment process," said petitioner Advocate Indira Dhamala.
