Nepal, June 25 -- The Special Court has granted bail of Rs 3.5 million to former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal in the Patanjali land scam case.

Former PM Nepal was present in court on Wednesday when arguments were heard for the case.

On June 5, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a corruption case against Nepal and 93 others over the alleged transaction of land in Kavre that was under land ceiling exemption and registered in the name of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Ayurvedic Company Nepal during his tenure as Prime Minister in 2009.
