KATHMANDU, June 29 -- Vice Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Bam Dev Gautam has demanded that a five-meter tall boundary wall be erected along the Nepal-India border.

Addressing the party's Standing Committee (SC) on Monday, Gautam said that the open border should be closed and a visa regime between the two countries should be implemented to safeguard the interests of both countries. "Visa [between the two countries] should be made available free of cost. A five-meter high wall should be built on either side of the no man's land along the border to safeguard the interests of both countries without any further delay," Gautam said.
