Nepal, April 4 -- Police arrested Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), from the capital on Friday.

He was taken into custody from his private residence in Budhanilkantha on Friday evening, following an order from the Butwal bench of the High Court Tulsipur to remand him in custody in connection with the Rupandehi-based Supreme Cooperative fraud and organized crime case.

A joint bench of Justices Ramesh Dhakal and Swikriti Parajuli at the High Court Tulsipur's Butwal bench issued the order on Friday to remand Lamichhane.
