Nepal, Sept. 8 -- The Rastriya Swantantra Party (RSP) has called for the immediate resignation of the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and a fresh mandate, condemning the government's recent crackdown on youth protests.

In a press statement issued on Monday evening, the RSP criticized the administration for widespread corruption, disregard for the rule of law and suppression of freedom of expression through the closure of social media platforms. The statement issued by General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti strongly condemned the killing of unarmed young protesters during peaceful demonstrations, terming the government's actions as "brutal repression" and "tyrannical."
